How we work with you
Our first step will be a phone call to follow up on your enquiry. We will chat about your building project and see if we are the right fit for you. We will then book in a time for a face-to-face consultation and site visit with our Director, Euan Smith, to have a more in-depth discussion.
Euan will come to your home for a consultation about the renovation or new build. During this consultation he will discuss your thoughts, ideas, timeframe, and budget. He can also give you some great ideas on ways to keep costs down, from his years of renovation and building experience.
If you already have plans, have them available so he can start nailing down some details.
If you have not got that far yet we can put you in touch with one of our recommended architects who would be right for your project.
Once you have the approved plans and we have agreed the scope of the project, the next step is to provide you with an accurate price estimate of your renovation or new build. The timeframe of this process can vary depending on the size of the build, so we will keep you updated all the way. This ensures the pricing is accurate and detailed.
Fixed Quote Price
We will then provide you with a fixed price quotation and go through it with you line by line to ensure you understand the full cost and scope of your project and our terms of engagement.
On acceptance of the price, we will sign a fixed price building contract (we use Certified builder’s templates) and other documentation like the Halo 10 year Guarantee
Then it’s just working out a start date to begin!
Finally! We start construction on your dream project!
Throughout your project, you will have weekly site meetings with Euan and the site manager, along with any other communications. These meetings are a great way for you to understand and see the changes as they happen and watch as your home takes shape.
If you want to make any changes or amendments to the plans, please let us know as early as possible, as we will need to update corresponding budgets, costs, and timelines. You will be kept fully informed if there are any unexpected and unforeseen issues during your project. Any variations arising from this will be fully discussed and costed before undertaken.
Construction complete! You will do a walk through with Euan and the Site Manager to do the final sign off on the build as per the scope of work contracted. We will then organise a professional clean so you can move back into a spotless home.
All council compliance requirements will be sorted by us and the Halo 10 year guarantee will be put in place.

We have completed two separate additions and renovations of our house with Euan. There were a lot of complexities with these projects, where new areas needed to integrate with a heritage building on a sloping site with limited access. During both builds he was able to plan around the needs of our growing family, allowing us to remain in our house throughout the process. We were impressed by Euan’s ability to achieve a high-quality finish and his efforts gave us what we were aiming for: soundly built, well-crafted new spaces that reflect and preserve the best features of the original building.
